Welcome to my blog! I chose the name "Fernweh" because it is the word closest to describing the urge I have to go beyond the borders of my home and country. For, me there is something peaceful about the exploration of far out places... maybe a bit of fear too, but there is a tug in my heart that leads me towards the known and unknown places of this world, and this blog serves as a way for me to express every experience, feeling, thought, or story that presses on my heart. Maybe it is for my own sanity or enjoyment, or maybe because I wish to share these experiences, but whichever it is, there are places, people, and stories in this world that should not be forgotten, and I don’t intend to. The world is, as I would so elegantly put, freaking cool. How could I not want to write about it?
