Poetry

In addition to my main blog, I have decided to post my poetry as well.

As with many things I practice and enjoy, I am an amateur at best when it comes to writing poetry. However, there is a beauty to poems that doesn't come through in paragraphs and it is a beauty I cannot deny myself to attempt to capture.

A Poet's First Try

I tried my hand at poetry

And learned that I could not rhyme

Nor figure out how to space the lines

I tried to weave words together in a metaphorical sense

And found that it was just a paragraph

Written in a strange way

So that is what my writing became

Not poetry

Not paragraphs

But something all together different

All together new

And something all together me
